Dosage:500 mg/5ml.
Take this medication by mouth with or without food. If alcohol is ingested during the treatment, it may result in a severe reaction. The reaction should stop after 7 to 10 days. The patient should avoid drinking more than 1 glass of alcohol a day. Drink a full glass of water at any time. The patient should not lie down for at least 10 minutes after drinking alcohol. The patient should not stand up during the first 20 minutes of drinking alcohol and should not stand up when drinking alcohol. Alcohol can impair vision in one or both eyes, but this may be harmless. Avoid alcohol during treatment with this medication.
Pregnancy: Before treatment, tell your doctor or pharmacist about any prescription or nonprescription medicine you take. This includes medicines you buy or use. Ask your pharmacist for a list of the medicines you are taking. Do not take more than the recommended dose of this medication. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
Driving and Machinery: If you are using machinery, do not drive or do anything else that could be dangerous. The effects of alcohol can be dangerous.
Painful Eye Syndrome: If you have an eye condition that has been diagnosed by a doctor, do not use this medication. This condition is not expected to be life threatening. The symptoms of an eye condition called NAION may be more severe than other conditions. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any eye pain, vision problems, pain or discomfort in the eye.
Do not use this medication if you are allergic to any medicine or if you are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for a list of the medicines you are taking before using this medication.
: If you are pregnant or breast-feeding, tell your doctor or pharmacist promptly. This medication may harm an unborn baby. Do not use this medication during the last 3 months of pregnancy.
